April Ray, an entrepreneur, website designer, mother, and empowering force. As a young mom, desiring to work from home AND make an impact with her creative genius, April Ray Creative was born in 2017.
April leveraged her twelve-plus years of web design and marketing experience to create compelling websites that effectively convert visitors into customers.

April’s recent vacation marks a significant milestone in our partnership, as it was the first time she could completely detach from her inbox and business responsibilities without worry.
When was the last time you took a vacation and could confidently ignore your devices without a SINGLE concern? It’s a dream for many, especially in this overly-connected age. We are SO glad that April was able to more fully enjoy her vacation and know that it’s the first of many moments away with family, while our team supports her behind the scenes!

When we knew April was getting ready for vacation, we started by implementing a tailored system to manage her inbox seamlessly: Our team reviewed her inbox daily, ensuring prompt attention to all matters. We set up an out-of-office responder to inform her clients about the process while she was away. For minor edits from her clients, our team handled them promptly, and larger edits requiring her attention were strategically snoozed until Sunday evening before April’s return on Monday morning.
In urgent matters, we sent her a Slack message to check her inbox, where only the essential email awaited her review. Despite a convenient hiccup 🙄when her websites went down (yes, it happens!), we quickly collaborated to identify and resolve the issue. After a little action, everything was back online within hours.
Reflecting on our journey together, we also achieved several wins long before this vacation:
- Taking over small yet important website edits for her clients’ sites
- Creating and scheduling all social media posts
- Transitioning her project management to Asana: this effective tool streamlines workflow, enhances collaboration, and improves organization
- Managing all weekly WordPress site updates
- Handling monthly and quarterly reporting for her clients
- Developing a streamlined system for contractor invoicing
