Jade, the Founder and CEO of Mrs. Smith Assist, is an Airtable wiz (not by her own accord, but that of the team and many clients)! If you’re unsure of what Airtable is, it’s technically a data management software. However, we don’t think that title does it any justice. Airtable can be almost anything you want it to be. Equipped with automations, email and other tech integrations, forms, millions of filtering and viewing options, and so much more… it’s difficult to think of what Airtable can’t do.
It’s overwhelming to think about everything Airtable can do, so let’s take a look at an Airtable base that Jade set up for one of our favorite clients!
The Real Estate InvestHER community is more than just a networking platform. It’s an intimate global platform where women cultivate deeper connections while creating generational wealth. Founded by Andresa and Liz in 2019, Real Estate InvestHER has helped hundreds of women take their business to the next level.
Andresa and Liz also host The Real Estate InvestHER podcast which has over 200 episodes, and counting. With a new guest on each episode and even more applications to be a guest, you can imagine how much information Andresa & Liz have to sort through just to find and keep track of their guests.
So, how do they manage to review, organize, and store the information from hundreds of applications? Even more impressive, how do they manage to put out 2 podcast episodes per week while remembering who they’re interviewing and what they’re talking about, ensuring episodes are edited and published on time, and keep track of all of their own ideas for future reference?
Well, part of it is that they’re rockstars. But, even the best can have a little help. That’s why Jade built Liz & Andresa a Podcast Management Airtable Base to not only store and organize all the data related to the podcast (application details, topics, interview questions, headshots, dates, etc.) but also to automate a huge part of their podcast management process.
Let’s look at a few key features of their Airtable Base:
Podcast Application Organization
When someone fills out a podcast guest application, all of their information automatically populates in the Airtable base. No more chasing down form responses or copy and pasting information, it’s already all done.
One-Click Automations
The Real Estate InvestHER team reviews the applications in Airtable and can select “approved” or “not approved” for each applicant. Depending on the selection, Airtable will automatically send an email to the applicant informing them of the decision. If they’re approved, they’ll receive a request to schedule their interview. All of that, with the click of literally one button!
Custom Views & Fields
An “editing view” just for the podcast editor. The team can leave notes for each other, track the status of editing, and launch dates for each episode.
To say this doesn’t even scratch the surface of what Airtable can do would be an understatement. If you have data and an idea of how you’d like to use it (or, if you have data that you have no idea how to make sense of) Airtable may be exactly what you’re looking for.
Still not sure if Airtable would work for your business? Here’s a few other ideas of what Airtable can do:
- Content Planner
- Inventory Management
- CRM (even integrating with tools like Dubsado and Kajabi!)
… and so, so, SO much more.
You don’t even have to know exactly what you’re looking for. Schedule a quick chat with Jade to get an idea for just how Airtable could free up your time and help elevate your business. As Andresa and Liz said, “Running a business is hard. It’s even harder if you’re doing it alone.”
